Bob was born on October 3, 1929 to Ellis and Helen Berry in Royal Oak, Michigan. He attended Royal Oak High School participating on the golf team where he helped win the 1947 championship. He attended two years at Michigan State University where he was also on the golf team.
After college, Bob’s first job was as a traveling salesman selling barber supplies nationwide for E. Morris company in Detroit. Bob met his beloved future wife Virginia (Ginny) Fyke in Royal Oak, MI and they were married two years later in 1956 and went on to have 3 children Steve, Craig, and Scott. Bob then transitioned to selling automobiles for General Motors Cadillac division. In 1979 Bob relocated his family to Broken Arrow, OK to open up an automotive sunroof business in nearby Tulsa. Bob retired in 1994 at the age of 65.
Bob spent most of his retirement, playing golf, traveling, and spending quality time with his family, friends, and grandchildren (Michael, Carly, Nicole, and Savannah).
Bob is preceded in death by his father Ellis Berry and mother Helen Berry. He is survived by his wife Virginia Berry of 66 years, his sons Steve (Leslie) of Ashburn VA; Craig (Julia) of Collierville, TN; Scott (Sarah) of Bentonville, AR; and his sister “Sis” Fisher of Harbor Springs, MI.
Services will be held at the Collierville United Methodist church Sanctuary on the Square in Collierville, TN on Friday March 24th at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM.
