Patricia Ann Ashe, 84, left her earthly body and transitioned into the welcoming arms of Jesus on July 13, 2024, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was born in 1939 in Hot Springs, AR to Ernest and Maxine Sanders. She graduated from Jordan High School in 1957 and went on to work as a legal secretary, an airline hostess, then as support staff at the U.S. Army Aviation Command in Ft. Benning, Georgia. She continued her education at the University of Georgia and the University of Kentucky, then later received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis at the age of 76.
Pat’s passion for maintaining a stable, loving, and Christian home was evident in everything she did. She had a gift of hospitality and was always putting others before herself. She had a big heart and a strong love for Jesus Christ and the church. She and her husband were founding members of Collierville Bible Church where she could be found volunteering regularly and making a difference in the lives of those she touched. She also loved several “fur babies” over the years and was known as the best dog mom a pup could ever hope for.
In 1961, Pat met Tom on a blind date, and they were married 62 years. Together, they raised 2 children, Cindy (Ashe) Baker, and Mike Ashe. She was a devoted wife and mom, always putting her family first and cherishing every moment spent with them.
Pat was known for her beautiful smile, and sweet personality and was admired by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church, and community.
Patricia leaves behind her husband Thomas Ashe, her children Cynthia (Richard) Baker and Michael (Kim) Ashe, two grandchildren, brother Gary (Ina) Sanders, and a niece and nephew. A private burial service will be held for family only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Collierville Bible Church.
