Nancy C. Harris

Nancy C. Harris, 74, of Memphis, passed away Wednesday June 13, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Harris was a dedicated Christian daughter, wife, and mother. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired from Southern College of Optometry where she received the President's Award. Mrs. Harris was an avid reader, loved African Violets, and loved animals, especially her cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Lee Curry and Barbara H. Curry. Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Alan Harris, three children, Timothy Alan Harris (Doreen), Thomas Mark Harris (Gregg), and LeAnn Harris Argo (Brad), one grandson, Zachary Alan Harris, one brother, Richard Craig Curry (Virginia), and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, June 21, 2018 from 6-8pm at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W. Poplar Ave. Collierville, TN. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memphis School of Preaching - Richard Lee Curry scholarship fund, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Mid-South Parkinson's Disease Foundation, the Memphis Humane Society, or a charity of the donor's choice.
