Kenneth Gordon Cochran, 84, died Sunday, October 13, 2024, after a 6 1/2 month long illness. He was born November 21, 1939, in Hickory Flat, Mississippi, to Lawrence and Helen Cochran. He lived in Pennsgrove, New Jersey, for a short time and then in Memphis and Germantown for most of his life. He was a graduate of Treadwell High School (1958) and Memphis State University (1963). Gordon was an Army veteran and a sales representative for Champion Parts Rebuilders, Inc (automative industry) until his retirement.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joyce Ebbing Cochran, his brother Barry Cochran of Rogers, AR, and his daughters Kimberly Cochran Heathcott of Dallas, TX, Kelly Cochran Mudd of Memphis, and Rebecca Cochran Secrist of Germantown. Gordon had five grandchildren: Jack Heathcott of 29 Palms, CA; Laura Heathcott of Washington D.C.; Kate Mudd of Memphis; and Emersyn, Easyn, and Ellasyn Secrist of Germantown.
Gordon was a member of Germantown Presbyterian Church. He was an avid sports fan, especially Ole Miss football.
