Janice McCloud Fox

Janice McCloud Fox, was born to John Hardy McCloud, Jr. and Mamie Deckard McCloud on September 11, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee. She passed away at the age of 76, in Memphis, Tennessee on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Janice married David Fox in June of 1968. Together they had two children The family moved from Nashville to Memphis in 1978. Ultimately, the marriage did not survive, but Janice and David were always committed to their children and making sure they started life on the right foot.

Janice loved music of all kinds, especially 50's and 60's music, Motown,country and pop music. She loved Coca Cola and I Love Lucy, and loved reading. She had a creative mind and loved animals. She had a wonderful sense of humor and made friends easily. She had a kind and generous heart.

She adored her only grandchild, Kade Fox.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Hardy McCloud, Jr. and Mamie McCloud, and her beloved nephew, Hunter McCloud.

She is survived by her children, Bryan Fox (Angela) and Julie Milstead (Chris), grandson Kade Fox; brothers, Johnnie McCloud (Jeannie): Jerry McCloud (Bobbie) and her niece and nephews, Brent McCloud, Tyler McCloud and Shannon Laney.

There will be a memorial gathering on Friday,April 25, 2025 from 6 to 8 at the Collierville Funeral Home at 3863 Bailey Station Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal rescue, or the ASPCA, the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, or the International Essential Tremor Foundation.
