Harold David Haney, Jr., born on February 25th, 1936, to the late Dr. Harold David Haney, Sr. and Vannie Smith Haney Wall, went to be with the Lord on February 28th, 2024, at the age of 88. He was the cherished husband of almost 61 years to Jeanette Haney and the proud father of two children, Allison McAlister (Steve) and Nathan Haney. Harold was also adored by his four grandchildren, Lindsey McAlister, Kaleb Haney, Gray McAlister, and Shelby McAlister.
A graduate of Memphis State University, Harold was known for his wit and deep faith in Christ. After graduating from Memphis State, he served 4 years in the United States Army as a medic. He impacted numerous lives with his kindness and unconditional love for his family. His legacy will endure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Harold's passing has left a void in the lives of his loved ones and community, but his memory will serve as a beacon of inspiration and guidance. He will be profoundly missed and warmly remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Covenant Baptist in honor of Harold's memory.
A memorial service will be held at Covenant Baptist Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 3:00 pm with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
