Doris Fay Garrison, 85, passed away September 18, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital Bartlett. She was born to Albert Sidney Stafford and Roma Faye Bowling Stafford on October 9, 1937 in Williston, Tennessee. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. Mrs. Garrison loved hugging and was a loving, thoughtful, generous Christian Soul. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Great-great grandmother, Sister and Friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Garrison; daughter, Penny L. Garrison; son, Paul C. Garrison; grand-son, James Edward Baker, Jr. “BJ”; great-grandaughter, Jocelyn Baker; her parents and two sisters, Bertha Arendale and Freddie Stafford.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Baker (Eddie) and Phyllis Garrison Walton (Jeff); six grandchildren, Casandra Holiman (Michael), Teresa Gillard (Rodney), Chris Baker (Brooke), Wayne Young (Lisa), Jamie Garrison (Jay), J.R. Young (Marlana); nine great-grandchildren, Courtney Gillard, Robbie Gillard, Presley Young, Colson Young, Eli Baker, Miciah Holiman, Gabriel Holiman, Naomi Holiman, Carrie Rodriguez ; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eva Box and Madelyn Roberson.
Visitation for Mrs. Garrison will be Sunday September 24, 2023 from 2-3 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mrs. Garrison may be offered to the charity of the donor’s choice.
