

Joseph Pannell, born April 21, 1935, passed away on April 1, 2025.
They married on August 16, 1979 and their devotion to one another spanned decades, creating a legacy of love and family devotion that will be cherished forever.
Joseph and Clara built a beautiful life together in Memphis and later in Collierville, Tennessee. Clara had two sons from a previous marriage; John Ishee (deceased) and Robert Ishee. Joseph had three children; Vicky Evans (Greg), John Pannell (Denise) and Tenny Pannell. Joseph and Clara were happiest when they were having fun with their children and grandchildren.
Clara had a long career in the banking industry until her retirement. She also enjoyed gaming and fishing. Joseph was the Chief Electrical and Maintenance Engineer for Goldsmith’s/Macy’s from the 1950’s until his retirement. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman as well as an extraordinary tinker, handyman and artist.
Beyond their family life, Joseph and Clara shared a passion for adventure and excitement. They enjoyed exploring the world through cruises and travels, creating lasting memories together. They were always on the go and ready for fun adventures together and with friends and family. Their zest for life was infectious and their positive attitudes brightened the lives of all who knew them.
Joseph and Clara’s remarkable journey together was a testament to their enduring love and commitment to each other. They built a life filled with joy, laughter and unwavering support for one another. Their memory will be forever treasured by their family and friends who will miss their kindness, warmth and the indelible mark they left on the world.
They leave behind 10+ grandchildren, 4+ great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
