Catherine Yeager Turner, age 93 of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday July 24, 2024. She was born on July 17, 1931 in West, Mississippi to John Ben and Marie Yeager. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Hubert Yeager.
After moving to Memphis to attend Baptist Nursing School, Catherine met, fell in love and married William Murray Turner on August 11, 1954. This August 11th would have been the 70th anniversary of their marriage. Bill preceded Catherine in death in 2015.
Catherine was a loving mother to four daughters. Brenda Ann Turner, Janice Turner Michaels (Jim), Carolyn Turner Bledsoe, and Cynthia Turner Whittiemore (Lynn). In addition to her daughters she had six beautiful grandchildren. Amy Bledsoe Paul (Matt), Jonathan Michaels, Beth Bledsoe Prieur (Michael), Jessica Michaels, Jennifer Michaels Gallina (Joseph) and Jordan Michaels Risher (Noel). Four great grandchildren. Nolan Christopher Paul, Turner David Prieur, Hayes Michael Prieur and Micah Rowan Paul. Catherine was loved by all of her family and will be greatly missed.
Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at the Collierville Funeral Home 3863 Bailey Station Rd, Collierville TN on August 6, 2024. Visitation will be at 9:00 am followed by a celebration of life service at 10:00 am. Burial will be at the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at 4000 Forest Hill Irene Rd, Memphis TN at 2:00 pm.
