Beverly Sue Tullos Hood

Beverly Sue Tullos Hood went Home to be with Her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2023. Mrs. Hood was a talented musician who played multiple instruments. She played violin for the Jackson Symphony Orchestra in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a beloved music teacher at Collierville Elementary School for many years. She stayed active with the Collierville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She loved reading her Bible, enjoyed Memphis Tigers Basketball and gardening. She loved the Lord and was a faithful servant. Mrs. Hood was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Calvin Hood; her parents, Braxton Holmes Tullos and Willie Jones Harper Tullos; and three brothers, William Tullos, Glynne Tullos and Eugene Tullos.

She is survived by her daughter, Anna Hood Hester (Jeff); her son, Andrew Hood (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Grant Hester, Zachary Hood, Paige Hood, Matthew Hester and Joshua Hood; and two brothers, Edwin Tullos and John Tullos (Linda); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 12, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 13, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, Tennessee. Interment services will be on Friday April 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at North Raleigh Cemetery, 224 Mimosa Road, Raleigh, Mississippi.
