William Louis Lotspeich Jr.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from one o’clock in the afternoon until service time on Saturday, the 21st of June in the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas.

The celebration of life service will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 21st of June at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Terry Washburn officiating.

Louis was born in Robstown, Texas on 9th of January 1924 to William and Maggie Lotspeich. He was raised in Houston, TX and graduated from San Jacinto High School.

Louis attended the University of Houston and Texas A&M to become a

Petroleum Engineer and a Safety Engineer. Louis worked for Dowell Schlumberger as a petroleum engineer, and then worked for Insurance Company of North America/Signa as a safety engineer and implosion specialist. He successfully completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training and was a proud and decorated veteran. Louis served his country in WWII and the Korean War. During WWII he was in the Army Air Core as a gunner and flight engineer as well as a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On September 20th 1945 he married Miriam Clara Feser and together they had two children.

Louis is survived by his loving wife, Miriam; children, William Louis Lotspeich III and Carol Lynn Lotspeich Dohmen and her husband, Philip Dohmen; four grand children, Janice Jean Lotspeich Hoover, Lauren Christian Ludwick Dohmen, Olivia Faith Ludwick Dohmen, and Angelika Hope Ludwick Dohmen.

More outstanding than his accomplishments was his character. He was always faithful to his wife, loyal to his family, trustworthy and honest to everyone he knew. Louis was known as a gentleman of distinction, nobility, honesty and integrity. There was never a person who didn’t like him. He was always kind, peaceful, polite and pure from the inside out. He will be with us wherever we go.
