Sue Mae Stroud

She was born in Fort Worth Texas on June 10, 1936 to Lavada and Ernest Odom.

Sue graduated from North Side High school.

She was married to Jim “LW” Stroud on May 28, 1977.

Sue enjoyed an incredible 40-year career with the FAA Federal Aviation Administration as an executive secretary and personnel Specialist making lifelong friends and receiving numerous awards and recognitions along the way.

Among her interests, Sue had a passion for family and friends, gardening, bird watching, shopping, and fine dining. She will always be in our hearts and remembered for her sophistication and beautiful smile coupled with an incredibly contagious positive outlook on life.

Sue was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, and Husband, she was survived by brother Tom Odom and sister Janie Roberts, niece Pam Brooks, nephews Lee Roberts and Doug Roberts, a step daughter Janet Waldrip, and the many immediate and extended family members of each.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 1pm followed by a Celebration of Life of Sue's (Aunt Susie) at 2pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in the Garden of Rest.
