Saundra Joyce Smith

Saundra Joyce Smith of Baytown, Texas passed away on December 19th, 2018 in Keller, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, MiMi, and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born December 10th, 1939 in Baytown, Texas to Marvin & Bonnie Hall. Saundra attended Robert E Lee High School in Baytown, Texas graduating in 1958. Shortly after graduating from high school, she began working for Perry Brothers 5 & 10, where she met her husband, Gerald Smith. Saundra and Gerald moved to Hurst, Texas where in time owned and operated “Gibson’s Discount Store”, located in Hurst/Euless. Saundra also obtained her cosmetology license, became a hair stylist and ended up owning her own salon. She was a hair dresser for over 20+ years in Hurst. Saundra was an active member of Richland Hills Church of Christ, and loved her church dearly. Saundra has 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 1 sister and numerous other family members. Saundra was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Smith. The visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, December 21th at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas. The Funeral Service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 22nd at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Colleyville, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation & American Cancer Society.
