I am Bobby’s big sister, I am trying to find videos of him playing his guitar or singing. Can anyone help me? 

I was unable to make the ceremony today but I was so glad that a slideshow was posted. I loved seeing what he has been up to all these years. I always imagined he was living his best life. It looked like he was surrounded by amazing friends and loved ones which was all I ever wanted for him. 

Today is a tough day for everyone. Keep your heads up and know that he’s watching over you! 

Brother. I received this news and couldn't believe it. We first met in middle school. Man, what a trip that is to say now. From football, to band class. We weren't super close until we got in to high school, then our bond or should I say, brotherhood really formed. We both picked up a guitar, both had this crazy idea to start a band and it was the greatest time of my life. 
I'll never forget the time we were in a moshpit and you breaking Dereck's nose. 
The late night talks, the in depth conversations, singing song lyrics for hours on end until the sun came up. 
The moments together I can never get back are the ones I wish we could relive again. 
I'll never forget you brother. 
You are my protector. 
I love you man

I’ve sat here and stared at this blank space for quite some time. I’ve come back and forth nearly a hundred times over the past few weeks trying to find the right words. The tears and memories are all so overwhelming lately, but there are a few certainties I have.

 I would do anything for one more chance to sit down and talk. All the things that have changed in these years, and how we are so different now. We aren’t kids anymore. I can sit here and cry with regret about how too much time has passed by, but I know we will talk again someday. 

One more chance to hear your laugh. A laugh so infectious it could light up a room. Anyone that had the privilege of knowing you knows this laugh all too well. I’m smiling so big right now thinking about it. I know I will hear your laugh again someday. 

One more hug. A hug so tight I can barely breathe. One more squeeze to let you know that everything will be ok. You gave the best hugs and no one can deny that.  I know I will hug you again someday. 

You were so special, BJ. Your gift of selflessly loving others will never be forgotten. You will never be forgotten. I love you always.  Pam & Jim forever. 

We had a lot of great times together. I wish we could’ve had more time to make more memories. Love you brother. R.I.P. 

I had just gotten to meet Robert before hearing the upsetting news. I was Robert’s recruiter at the company he had just begun working for. Robert was so excited to start a new chapter and I was happy to help him with that. In the short time that I knew Robert he constantly uplifted me and would call often just to chat. Robert valued personal connections and, in doing so, established so many relationships that will never be the same without him. I considered Robert my friend, and hearing the news devastated me. I miss him significantly, and I think of him daily. My thoughts are with his friends and family. 

It’s taken me 17 years to really articulate how I feel about Robert “BJ” Ziegler. First Loves really are so special. I have a hard time remembering what our relationship was like. We had recently reconnected and he was helping me remember. 

But he was always there in the background of my life. One of the first memories I have was him sitting in the back row of band class in middle school. We didn’t know each other. Not sure if we even talked much. He might have stepped out of the way to let me pass him in the hallway. I think I heard him laugh once and thought it was cute. But nothing more than these passing moments. 

I saw him again a few years later in the back of our group waiting for the bus stop in high school. This time I did see him. Really see him. I just had to know him. I can’t remember who approached who. But it was probably me. And from then on I was always looking for the quiet ones in the crowd. Maybe I was just searching to see him again. 

For our short relationship, we were always 3 fences apart. And he would hop all 3 in the middle of the night. That was something I was always proud of. I tell that story often. Always makes me chuckle. 

For years I thought of him. More passing moments. My husband finally encouraged me to reach out. And after a few months of overthinking it, I finally did. I thought surely it will be some time before he even reads this. He responded almost instantly. 

From there was several months of reconnecting. Learning each other’s past and bonding over new experiences. He was my second dance mom. Always cheering me on and encouraging me. We talked through things we never said back then. And heard each other’s perspective. It was cathartic. I thought I was meant to help him. But he was really the one helping me. 

UGH every time it comes down to writing anything about you BJ it hurts in the realest sense… I will miss your creative mind and imagination, passion and strength… May you Rest In Peace! Love you brother! What an awful loss… 

My heart goes out to his family. I’m truly sorry for your tragic loss. He was so full of charisma.  He always knew how to make you laugh  and when he entered a room people were drawn to his smile and energy. Putting my love vibes out there for the family. 

You were one of my favorite reps that I ever had the pleasure of training. You brought so much positivity to each and every one of your peers and put a smile on my face everyday. Thank you for that. Your positive impact has been felt across the country and I feel blessed to have known you. You made me want to be better. Rest in Paradise Bobby Z. 

Words can't express how much you meant to me. You were always there for me. I'm at a loss, I'm numb, I have a hole in my heart in place of your laughter. I miss you. I just want someone to wake me up and tell me this is just a really bad dream.

Bobby  had this toy like a spinning ball that he could keep in the air as long as your hand was under it ! I remember running around Vernon’s  playing w this ( what I thought) was the coolest  toy ! He was definitely a gentle man who cared deeply about his friends . He will be missed 💕

I only met Bobby 1 time when he was a baby but from what I am hearing he grew up to be a wonderful young man . I am so happy Monica found her brother and established a loving relationship with him for the past 6 years I know they both needed and enjoyed it. I was deeply  saddened  and heartbroken to hear of his passing . Monica I am so sorry for your loss  . You know I’m always here for you . Love mom 

I'm not going to include details of my memories from Zieg in school, but I will take some time to talk about how great a person he was. Always willing to help someone out, always willing to listen to your problem, and always the first person to tell you to go figure it out for yourself! One of the things I loved about him is that he didn't bs anyone. He was one of the realist people I've met.
You will be missed man.

BJ, one of the first people to welcome me to Boswell. The one who always encouraged me to skate hard, and never give up. We spent a ton of time behind High Country working stairs, rails, everything. During that time you introduced me to so much music. I had no idea about half the bands you were showing me, and I still listen to all of them to this day. You were always a great protector, and always there for anyone who felt out of place. We had ups, downs, good times, and bad, but still remained friends. I can’t play guitar hero without thinking about staying up til sun up, pushing each other to expert every song with you. All those late night/early morning talks after work. I’ll miss you dearly brother, and the world is worse off without you. Rest easy. I love you man. 

Bubs, Where do I even begin? In the 6 short years we got to know each other, we bonded with music we fought like true siblings (that grew up together) and loved one another. I will never forget the first time we met in person and we saw our favorite band and I surprised you with the tickets! We had a blast together that time and all the times we FaceTimed laughed and cried. I’m going to miss your cheshire cat smile when the video would pop up and you would see my face. I love you to the end of the earth and beyond little big brother, your big sister 💔

Grief… I’ve learned, is really just love.. it’s all the love I want to give you, but I can’t now..and all unspent love just keeps gathering in the corners of my eyes.. the lump in my throat & that hollow part in I feel in my chest… grief is just love with no place to go… I miss you Bobby…. I’ll always remember our spontaneous weekend road trip to Austin, I don’t think I’ve ever had that much fun on a trip.  Through out the many things we decided to do... my favorite part had to be when we decided to pick up wings next door and eat… no.. DEVOUR them while we both sat on the floor. You looked at me .. face full of sauce and said “you’re the only one I’ll ever eat like this in front of” and then continued inhaling your wings. I’m going to miss you BJ, SO damn much.. I’m going to miss the random late night phone calls just because and the random face times you did just to mean mug me when I texted something that you just HAD to real life react to. My only regret is that I wish we would have taken more pictures together because the one picture I decided to save was one that I look like a Mario game mushroom in. I’ll see you later honey.

You will always be BJ to me. So many of my middle and high school memories include you. You were incredibly kind to all and always full of life and fun. I pray you are at peace.

Bj was a light and such a fun and caring soul! I met him in elementary school and we were instant close friends. We shared the same background being adopted and I think that was comforting being young kids not feeling so different and alone. He was like a brother to so many and we will never forget his kindness to everyone he met.
