Richard A. Yates, 61, was called to his heavenly home on April 15, 2017. Beloved husband, father, son, and brother, will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 3:00p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Richard was born in San Antonio, Texas in August of 1955 to parents, Dolores and James Yates. He was a very dedicated and hardworking man. Richard loved his career and had a passion for designing children’s playgrounds. He enjoyed travel and never passed up the opportunity to try new and different foods. A self-proclaimed “Foodie” he hated a small plate. Most importantly, Richard was a warm and nurturing father, and devoted husband. He loved spending all the time he could with his loving wife and daughter. His good morals and values made his a great partner in life to his wife, and a wise and supportive mentor to many who worked alongside him. Richard is survived by his wife, Deborah Yates; daughter, Chelsea Yates; mother, Dolores Yates; brother, Keith (Linda) Yates; sister, Susan (John) Marshall; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
