Prabhjot "Joe" Atwal

Prabhjot (Joe) Singh Atwal was born on July 29, 1968 to Amjinder Kaur Atwal and Kulwant Singh Atwal in Punjab, India. He spent his childhood living in a small village in Koonta, India on many acres full of fruit farms. He was surrounded by extended family and played side by side with his younger brother Paramjot (Pat) Atwal.

At the age of 10 his family moved to Plano, Texas where he learned English and the American culture. He graduated high school at Plano West High School and then graduated college at Texas Tech University with a degree in Financial Planning. His first job was at AG Edwards as a stockbroker, and he then started his career in real estate at age 27. Joe had a love for sales and for people, and over 26 years built a successful business as a realtor. He was an accomplished, top producing agent in the DFW area.

Joe met the love of his life, Carla Atwal, during the last semester of college and they married in 1994. They moved to the Dallas area where they raised their two children, Aidan Atwal and Nicholas Atwal. They were married 30 years.

Joe had a passionate personality and had a love for his family, cars, motorcycles, weightlifting, the stock market, crypto currency, and was an avid reader. He loved to dance at parties and easily made people laugh with his playful disposition.

He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will rejoice knowing we will see him again someday.

A memorial service for Joe will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034.
