Patricia Ann Cox, 70, of North Richland Hills, Texas passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024 after a long illness. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 14th, 1953. Patti graduated from Elizabeth Seton Catholic High School in 1971. She was married to David Cox on May 22nd, 1982.
Upon graduation from high school Patti went to work for the Federal Energy Administration as a secretary. In 1974, she moved to the IRS where she eventually became a facilities management analyst,a position in which she received several awards for excellent performance. Her last position was as an educational specialist within the Facilities Management Branch.
Patti enjoyed gardening, crafting, movies, puzzles and going to baseball games to watch her son, James, play. Several lifelong friendships were made during those games.
Patti is survived by her husband, David Cox, son, James Cox (Blair), three wonderful grandchildren, Rhett Cox, Wyatt Cox, and Everly Cox, and her sister, Therese Nowakowski.
Patti's visitation will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, TX 76034 on April 2nd from 5 to 7 P.M. Her funeral will take place the following day at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 1000 Tinker Rd, Colleyville, TX 76034 at 11 a.m. Later in the day she will be laid to rest at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, TX 75211 at 2 p.m.
Patti's favorite color was purple, and she was a colorful lady herself! The family asks that, as a gesture to her memory, attendants wear purple or a bright color of their choice.
