She was born in Loco, OK on August 14, 1930. Naomi graduated from Duncan High School. She was married to Morris Lee Baker on June 12, 1949. Naomi Baker had a career in banking for several years at First National Bank Texas-Flour Bluff and a top producer for World Book Encyclopedia
She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Corpus Christi since 1968 and First Baptist Hurst in TX since 1997. She had a passion for serving others. She also had a strong faithfulness to her Lord and Savior from whom she drew her strength. She was a prayer warrior and had an unwavering devotion to her family and to God. She was a beautiful picture of a Proverbs 31 woman. Naomi was faithful to deliver Sunday School lessons and church bulletins to those that could not attend church or were home bound. Naomi was a great inspiration to many and will be deeply missed.
She was survived by her son Richard Baker (Stefanie Baker); her seven grandchildren, Jon Doiron (Jen Doiron), David Doiron (Janell Doiron), Sarah Doiron Christ (Drew Christ), Robyn Rasor Ethridge (Lee Ethridge), Stephanie Rasor Jones (Garrett Jones), Hannah Baker Lutz (Micah Lutz), Kaylee Baker, and her 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lee Baker; two daughters, Debbie Doiron (Andrew Doiron) and Cheryl Rasor; father, John Earl Dunnam; mother, Annie Myrtle Dunnam; brothers, Cruce Dunnam, Genese Dunnam, and Glenn Dunnam; and sisters, Mildred Dunnam Fair and Faye Dunnam Edwards.
The Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Friday July 14 and a Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday July 15 both at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
