Mrs. Myrel Lane Reynolds

Myrel was the last of her 8 siblings born to Samuel "Sam" Thomas Lane and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ellen Lynch Lane on January 25, 1924 in Silver Lake in East Texas. She attended and graduated from Grand Saline High School and lived most of her life in Colleyville, Texas.

Myrel worked various jobs her entire life; USO, General Dynamics, Texas Instruments and Colleyville Middle School cafeteria. She was a loving wife, mother and great gg to her grand and great grandchildren.

She will be missed by her friends from Atria Hometown where she lived prior to her illness. She loved to play games with her friends at Atria and read her love inspired romance and western books.

Myrel met the love of her life, James Edward "Ed" Reynolds, while working at her uncle’s country store in Silver Lake. They married in December 1945, after his return from WWII until his death in March, 1974.

Myrel is survived by 3 children; Terri Butler, Gloria Carney (husband, Steven), James Douglas (Doug) Reynolds (wife, Margaret) as well as 7 grandchildren; Bunn, Eric, Jill, James, Richard, Sam, Stacey, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

She will be missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:30 am with the service following at 12:30pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, Colleyville, TX. Interment will follow service at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren; Bunn, Eric, James, Richard, Sam, and great grandson Cody
