Our Melinda was unexpectedly called home by her Lord on December 5, 2016. She was born on October 15, 1957 in Peoria, Illinois and was the oldest of two daughters to the late Wilbur and Betty Dersch. She graduated from Richwoods High School in 1975 and upon graduation, moved to Fort Worth, Texas to attend Texas Christian University. She graduated with a degree in finance and quickly received her Texas CPA certification. Melinda was a highly respected Certified Public Accountant in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex for over 30 years. As an active member in her church, her love of the Lord radiated through countless relationships with friends and her extended family. She was a best friend to everyone who had the blessing of having known her. Her devotion to her husband, Max and three children, Alycia, Kyle and Ethan was unparalleled. She never missed a chance to be around others, whether it be at sporting events, serving food to the youth group at church, attending bible study groups or simply being with those in need of a loving friend. She treasured family vacations, especially if a beach or water was involved. Not only was she a loving wife and mother, but a respected member of the business community. She was twice named a Top Woman in Business in Arlington, Texas. Many of her clients and business associates are also great life-long friends and were loved dearly by her. Melinda is preceded in death by her mother and father, Wilbur Dale and Betty Ann Dersch of Peoria, IL, uncle, Robert John Dersch of Detroit, MI and many other beloved family members.
