Born in Ft. Worth, TX, on February 26, 1958, Marilyn was the oldest child of Truitt and Merle Campbell. She graduated from Grapevine High School in 1976 and then received her degree in accounting from the University of Texas, Arlington. While pursuing her college degree, she worked at Northeast Mall, where she met the love of her life, Craig Hale. They wed in the fall of 1980 and started their loving life together.
After graduating college, Marilyn worked in various accounting roles during her career before she decided to cut back to part-time and stay home more to focus on raising a family. Marilyn stayed extremely active in volunteer work. She was a leader with Bible Study Fellowship for over 14 years, PTA President, Children’s Sunday School Teacher, volunteer with The Coat of Many Colors, and in many other volunteer roles.
Over the course of the next 42 years, she and Craig built a beautiful life together enjoying travels, friends, family and church. In 1985, they added a healthy young son, Matthew, to their family. He quickly became the center of their universe. Then, in 2014, their family grew again with the marriage of Matt to his love, Catlin Whatley. Marilyn and Craig adored Catlin and were happy the young couple had found each other. A few years later, Marilyn and Craig became grandparents when their beautiful granddaughter, Amelia, was born. Prouder grandparents there could not be. They were so grateful for God’s many blessings on their family.
If you knew Marilyn, you knew that she lived her life with great purpose. She was loved by all that knew her and she made certain that others knew she loved them too. You were blessed if you had Marilyn in your life.
Marilyn was preceded in death by: her father, Truitt Campbell; her mother, Merle Campbell; her beloved stillborn daughter, Paige; her grandparents, Thursday and Melvin Kirby; and many other cherished family members.
Marilyn is survived by: her husband, Craig Hale of Bedford; her son, Matt Hale (Catlin) of Carrollton; her brother, Kevin Mosley of Ganado; her sisters, Lea Ann King (Keith) of San Angelo and Cristin Sanders (Casey) of Saginaw; her granddaughter, Amelia; grandson to be, Graham and many other loving family members and countless good friends.

Marilyn’s favorite bible verse
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” -John 14: 1-3
