Lou Ann “Granny” Reynolds passed away on July 26, 2022 in Bedford Texas surrounded by those that she loved. Lou Ann was born on July 1, 1942 to James Silas and Katie Butler in Wirt, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in 1960 and was a member of her high school basketball team. During that time she met the love of her life Jerry L. Reynolds and they married on April 10, 1958. After graduation and marriage Lou worked at Montgomery Wards as a Key Punch Operator for several years before opening her own Ceramic Shop. She later became Secretary for Reynolds Sales, R&D Reynolds Inc. In the midst of all her hard work she even managed to raise 3 amazing and smart ass children. She was so proud of the 3 of them and would often comment on how they were the greatest accomplishments in life. Lou Ann was a member of Hurst Bowl where she was secretary of her team and she competed with the team that led to many bowling trophies over the years. She was also on the Bowling for Dollars show in the 1970s. She had a love for quilting. She was in the Bear Creek Quilters Guild and she found that she loved to help others, especially the elderly to complete their quilting projects. Not only did she love to help others complete their projects but she spent timeless hours making quilts, crocheting and sewing craft projects for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lou Ann “Granny” Reynolds is preceded in death by her Mom, Katie Butler, Father, James Silas and beloved husband Jerry L. “Paw” Reynolds. She is survived by her Brother Jimmy Butler of Big Spring, TX. Daughter Jerri Ann, Son-in-Law Greg Robertson, Daughter Sandy Brown, Son Ronnie “RD” and Daughter-in-Law Debbie Reynolds. Grandson Tracy Stuart, “adopted Granddaughter” Krystal Albert, Granddaughter Keni, her husband Matt Scott, Granddaughter Ryann and her husband Josh Strange, Grandson Grady Reynolds, Granddaughters Stacy Blackwell and Carley Holder. Granny is also survived by her Great Grandchildren Laci and Collin Stuart, Addy, Titus, Emmy and Silas Scott, Shady and Sky Holder, Brooklyn Albert and Jayden Gearen.
A visitation for Lou will be held Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
