He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Karen; son, Michael and stepdaughter, Laura (Eric) Hutto; grandchildren, Payton, Robert and Ashton; sister, Kay Bidwell; brothers, John and Wayne; brother-in-law, Gary Shipp; sister-in-law, Dana Shipp; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was born in Miami, FL to Dana and Wilda Johnson but always says he got to Texas as soon as he could and considered himself a native Texan. He grew up in Azle where he graduated from Azle High School in 1970. Lloyd received his BBA from UT Arlington, which led him to become the youngest Store Manager at Radio Shack in Memphis, TN. He went on to find continued success in many other management roles and finally found his passion for sales at Texas Refinery Corporation in 2002, where he enjoyed a long and successful career. At TRC, Lloyd received numerous awards including Rookie of the Year, Million Dollar Sales Club for 5 years running and Salesman of the Year in 2007. Earlier this year he received the most prestigious award and was inducted in the TRC Hall of Fame.
Lloyd was a man of many passions including fishing, bowling, grilling, the beach, his customers and friends, his puppies, and most of all his family. He was a devoted husband and father, and a beloved Papa to his grandchildren. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Lloyd managed his battle with cancer with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by the love of his wife, son, stepdaughter and son-in-law.
