Larry Roger Fisher

Larry was born on July 28, 1962 to Larry Eldon Fisher and Marcella Jane Fisher in Lafayette, IN. Larry grew up in Howell, MI and graduated from Howell High School in 1981. He went on to study Mathematics at Adrian College and Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University.

Upon graduation, Larry began working at Bell Helicopter Textron in January 1989. While at Bell, he worked as a Flight Test Engineer, Affordability Engineer, V-22 Affordability Manager, Staff Engineer, and IPT Leader during his tenured 35 years. He retired this past October.

In 1989, Larry met Rhonda, and they married in October 1990. Larry and Rhonda went on to have two children, Landon and Rachel.

Larry loved aviation and especially working at Bell. It was truly a second family. He was always the first one into work and enjoyed sharing information and mentoring early career folks. He was passionate about his work, but never too serious.

He loved his family at home. Everything he did, he did for the enrichment and improvement of his family. There was not a way to know Larry without knowing about Landon and Rachel and Rhonda. And when Sydney and Liam came into his life, he just had more to brag on.

Hunting, fishing, and being outside was Larry’s downtime. From cleaning pool skimmers to trimming bushes to helping neighbors and friends, Larry loved people through action. He was arguably the most reliable person known, and was the epitome of “a man is only as good as his word.” He was a good worker, a great man, and an even better husband and father.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Marcella Jane, and father, Larry Eldon. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his children, Landon and wife Sydney, and Rachel; grandson, Liam; brothers, David and Gregory.

Larry, you are loved beyond measure and will be missed every moment of every day.

A visitation for Larry will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd , Colleyville, TX 76034. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
