Julia was born December 19, 1928 to Ben H. and Anna Idora King Williams Glidewell in Mangum, Oklahoma at 09:15 am where she grew up surrounded by a large loving family as she was the youngest of six. Julia attended school in Altus, Oklahoma and the surrounding areas where she acquired a ninth grade education. In 1948, after WWII Julia and her family moved to Keller, Texas where they made their home.
Julia met the love of her life, R.F. Dearing in Keller where he worked at his family's laundry cleaners. Daddy said, “I was going to marry that girl” the first time he saw my mom. So, December 26,1952 they married. They were married 45 years before my Dad’s passing. My mom was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma, and great grandma. She spent much of her free time with friends and family. She enjoyed being in nature doing things such as fishing, camping and tending to her yard, garden and flowers. If she was not outside she could be found painting, embroidering, crocheting or cooking.
Julia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Smithfield for 20 years. She enjoyed attending Sunday school and Church up until her decline in health. Though her health was not strong her faith never faltered; she read her bible and studied god's word till the day she joined him in eternity. She could be heard singing along to Gospel Hymns throughout her days and will forever continue to do so.
She was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her four brothers Leonard Williams, George (Joe) Glidewell, Robert (Bob) Glidewell, Bennie Glidewell, one sister Edna Glidewell Carder.
