Johnny Daniel Turner Jr., 74, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 23, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Johnny's name to www.psp.org. He was born on Sept. 14, 1940, in Nashville, Tenn., the son of Johnny Daniel Turner Sr. and Cornelia Bess Turner. Johnny was a systems engineer for IBM, retiring after 50 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, David, and a daughter, Joy Denise Turner; and twin grandchildren, Abigail and Jordon. Survivors: His wife of 38 years, Donna Turner; children, John D. Turner III and wife, Shirley, Charles "Keith" Turner and wife, Robbin, Shellie Johnson and husband, Larry, Adam Turner, and Robin Tyra and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher and Joshua Brahms, Garrett and Carter Johnson, and Baylee and Sadie Tyra; great-grandson, Damek Brahms; sisters, JoAnn Roberson and Linda Adkinson and husband, Gary; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
