John Harrison Roe, Jr., 84, honored and respected husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, graduated to Heaven on January 28, 2021, after successfully winning through in his battle with cancer. Born in Frederick, Oklahoma on July 5, 1936, to Harrison and Mamie Roe, John, a graduate of West Point Military Academy, was a longtime resident of Dallas where after retiring from the business world at large, he continued to share his expertise with locally based Solutions by Text. While there, he received the Legacy Award for his extraordinary contribution to the culture of the company during his lengthy relationship with them by being an example of how to love and care for each other.
In his spare time, he spent large amounts of time enjoying his children and many grandchildren as well as avidly travelling to state and national parks, soaking in God’s beautiful creation he so loved.
Preceded in death by his wife Karee and his parents, he is survived by his daughters Lynne Calender and husband Kurt, Leanne Nelson, Debbie Eberhart and husband Don, son John Roe and wife Beth, sisters Jean Mauro and Judith Harrison, brother Jim Roe, thirteen grandchildren with spouses, eight great grandchildren, six nieces and nephews with spouses and children.
He will be greatly missed.
