Jerry Paul Hunt

Jerry Paul Hunt, of Bedford, TX, passed away peacefully at home on August 25th, 2019 with his wife and daughters by his side. He will always be remembered as an affectionate, devoted husband, a loving and committed father, a warm and friendly grandfather, and a light-hearted friend that would offer a joke when you needed a laugh or a listening ear when you had a concern. He was born on July 27th, 1935 in Sherman, TX to Bert and Faye Hunt. Jerry recently celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary with the love of his life, whom he met at a park on Loy Lake back when the two were still kids. Jerry always treated strangers like friends and friends like family. He enjoyed fellowship with each of his neighbors, and family pool parties in his backyard oasis. Jerry is survived by his wife Donna Wilson, of Denison, TX, his daughter Paula and her husband Mike Hall of Bedford, TX and his daughter Sheri and her husband Wayne Lusk of Euless, TX. Jerry (or Pepaw) is also survived by four grandchildren; Jill Sutherland of Keller, TX, Brandon Hall of North Richland Hills, TX, Brian Hall of Bedford, TX, and Jordan Lusk of Plano, TX. Pepaw was also adored by his seven great grandchildren and his sweet little dog “Lily”. The visitation will be held from 6 – 8 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, August 29th at the Dignity Memorial (Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home). The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30th at Richland Hills Christian Church (3908 Ruth Dr., Richland Hills, TX 76118). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to (SPCA, American Cancer Society, and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital – most organizations now accept contributions online).
