Ret US Army Major James Glenn Pace, 69, of Fort Worth, Texas, beloved father, grandfather,and brother, died on Monday, February 23, 2015 from complications due to lung cancer. He was born on May 25, 1945 in Abilene, TX to Roy and Loreta Pace.
After graduating from Abilene High School, Glenn went on to join the Army, during which time he also earned his Master's degree at the University of Nebraska. His honorable service to his country and his bravery during the two and a half tours he served in the Vietnam War earned him 4 bronze stars and many other metals.
Upon retiring from the Army, Glenn ran several businesses and eventually retired completely to work on his hobbies of restoring cars, woodworking, and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Glenn is survived by his son, Chris Pace, his daughter, Nicole Johnson and her husband Paul, three grandchildren, Adrienne, Gabriel, and Xavier Johnson, his sisters Peggy Shumate and Janie Carson and her husband Jim, his brothers Billy Pace and his wife LaFaye, David Pace, Bobby Pace, Jackie Pace, David Pace and many, many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
