James Clark Cook, a devoted father, grandfather, and adventurous spirit, passed away on September 29, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on August 19, 1970, James lived a vibrant life filled with passion, joy, and a hint of recklessness. James was saved and baptized at Gateway Church in Ft. Worth, Texas.
For over 20 years he owned an IHOP, where his strong will and determination helped his success. James created an atmosphere where people gathered to enjoy food, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, James loved the thrill of the open road. His adventurous nature and love for life led him to embrace every opportunity, always living life to the fullest, and often taking bold risks that made for great stories and cherished memories.
As a devoted father to four children and a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, James’s love knew no bounds. He instilled in his family the values of resilience, bravery, and the importance of embracing life’s adventures. His playful spirit and zest for life will forever be remembered by those he loved most.
James leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and joy that will inspire all who knew him. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, warm heart, and the reckless passion with which he approached life.
James was preceded in death by his sisters Shelly, and Dana, and his brother Terry. He is survived by parents Dan and Sandra Cook, sister Robin Goodman and husband Jimmy, sister Penny Hicks and husband Chris, and brother Mark Cook and wife Denise. Children Amber Dickerson and husband Tyler, Chris Cook, Ryan Cook & Vanessa, and Aubrey Cook. Grandchildren Marshall, Kennedy, Layni, Jameson, Jack, and Kenley. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held October 9, 2024, from 1-2 P.M. funeral services will be held directly after from 2-3 P.M. at the Bluebonnet Hills funeral home, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd Colleyville, TX.
