Irene M. Rodela of Fort Worth, Tx passed away on December 18, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Irene was born on October 20,1937 in Ennis Texas to Placido and Braulia Martinez.
Irene was married to Juan S. Rodela for 58 years. Irene and Juan raised three children Mark, John and Liz. She loved to sew, crochet, garden and loved to spend time with family and friends . Irene retired from Fort Worth ISD after 26 years of service.
Irene is survived by her sons, Mark Rodela and wife Victoria; John Rodela and wife Jessica; daughter, Elizabeth Moore and husband Richard; grandchildren, Samuel Rodela, Christopher Rodela, Nia Moore Odgers and husband Robert, Amanda Rodela, Cassandra Moore, Seanna Rodela and John Anthony Rodela and great grandson Michael Moore; sisters, Lala Rosales, Francis and husband Bill Furioso, Maria Martinez; brothers Carlos and wife Angelina Martinez; Placido and wife Lucia Martinez, Lorenzo and wife Rosalind Martinez, Mauro and wife Phylis Martinez and Paul Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Juan S. Rodela her parent Placido and Brulia Martinez; brothers Manuel Martinez and John Martinez.
The visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o’clock with the Rosary being held at 7 o’clock pm on Thursday December 20, 2018 at Bluebonnet Funeral Home. The funeral service is being held on Friday December 21, 2018 at 12:30pm in the Bluebonnet funeral chapel. Burial will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
