Ms. Inez Garcia

Inez Garcia, of Euless, Tx, passed into the arms of Jesus, on August 20, 2022 while peacefully sleeping in her home and after many happy visits with friends and family over the previous few weeks as her health had been failing.

Inez was born in Linares, Mexico November 17, 1927. Her 94 years on earth provided daily example of selfless and loving devotion to her family and to Christ through her deep Catholic faith.

Inez loved cooking feasts of Mexican favorites for family and friends, and patiently taught many of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren how to prepare tamales and other specialties. She also loved growing vegetables, flowers, and herbs in her small but well-tended garden, playing cards and other games with family and friends of all ages, and rarely missed a bingo night. Although she stood less than five feet in height, Inez was fearless. Her vitality and joy for life made her seem ageless, and most believed she was 30 years younger than her actual age.

Inez was preceded in death by her parents Leonardo and Monica Gomez; her brothers Erasmo, Raymundo, Leonardo, and Armando, her husband David Garcia, daughter Elvia, and grandson David. She is survived by her brother Mario Gomez, sons Americo and Rolando, grandchildren Roberta(Jesse) Miranda, Todd(Hope) Garcia, Jackie(Jay) Oglesby, Kenny(Olga) Bowsher, Erica(Javier) Sepulveda, Timothy Garcia, and Luis Ortiz, 13 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Inez on Friday, September 16th at 1PM at St Michael Catholic Church located 3713 E. Hardwood Rd. Bedford Tx 76021 (telephone: 817-283-8746). Visitation will precede the mass beginning at noon.
