He was born on December 15, 1931, to William and Berta Edwards in Hobart, Oklahoma. He had ten siblings.
Harry left school early to enlist in the United States Air Force. His military training prepared him for his professional career as the owner of Hurst Radio and TV in 1955. As the business grew it became known as Hurst TV & Appliances. Harry received the Longevity Award in 1995 from the City of Hurst.
Harry was blessed with 67 years of marriage to Ruth Helen Stafford. They were long-time members of Bellevue Baptist Church now known as Pipeline Church.
Harry is survived by his wife Ruth, two loving daughters, Kim (Larry) Sexton, Kelly (Greg) Mauk, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind and gentle heart, love support, and generosity.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at 2 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, located at 5725 Colleyville, Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034 and a Graveside service will follow on the same day at 3 PM in the Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pipeline Church.
