Grace Myers, a beloved daughter, sister, fiancée, and friend passed away on May 1, 2023 at the age of 44. Grace was born on March 26, 1979 in Fort Worth, TX to Carol and John Myers. Grace grew up in Bedford, TX and graduated from Trinity High School in Euless. She attended Lubbock Christian University, earning her bachelor’s degree in 2008 and went on to complete her MBA at Texas Tech University in 2011. Grace lived in Lubbock with her fiancé, Jon, and worked in supply chain and logistics for Wolf Pumps.
Grace lived the way she loved: fiercely. Often described as a force of nature, Grace made lifelong friends everywhere she went. Grace was passionate, funny, wonderfully irreverent, and genuine – to know Grace was to love her and to be loved by her was to have an ally and cheerleader for life. Grace loved travel, animals (especially cats,) crochet/crafting, and attending concerts, comedy shows, and movies.
On February 15, 2015 Grace accepted a Facebook friend request from a stranger, Jon Benton. She didn’t know it at the time, but Jon would be the love of her life and they’d get engaged a little over eight years later on February 23, 2023. Together they shared a life full of laughter, love, and too many cats.
Grace is survived by her fiancé Jon Benton; her parents Carol and John Myers; her brother John Myers and his wife Ashley, and the many friends and acquaintances whose lives she touched and made infinitely better.
A celebration of life for Grace will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 3:00pm – 4:00pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in Grace’s name to a charity she loved: Kat’s Alley Cats in Lubbock, TX.
