He was born in Mitchell, Indiana, on July 28, 1927 to Lula and Luther Gaines. His academic proficiency enabled him to graduate from Mitchell High School at only 16 years of age. He married the love his life, Gertrude Thomas Gaines a few years later, on June 24, 1950.
Glenn worked in computerized architectural tooling and machinery for Texas Instruments for many years. A devout Christian, he was a member of First Baptist Church, Keller, and had a passion for travel and loved spending time with his precious family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lula Gaines, father Luther Gaines, sister Helen Wulf, brother Paul Gaines, grandson Casey Davis, granddaughter-in-law Jacqueline Davis and nephew Keith Wulf.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 70 years Gertrude Gaines, daughter Pamela Froehner and husband Bill Froehner, son Rick Gaines and wife Laurie Gaines, grandchildren Brandon Davis, Kevin Davis, Michael Gaines, Taylor Gaines, Cassie Romano, Billy Froehner and wife Silvia, great-grandchildren Evelyn Davis, Caden Richardson, Taylor Davis, Brianna Romano, Sophia Romano, Garrett Romano, Greyson Gaines, Maxwell Gaines, niece Sharon Richardson and husband Steve, and nephew David Wulf.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at J.E. Foust Funeral Home, 523 S Main Street, Grapevine, Texas, 76051.
Graveside Service Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00am at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
Glenn was a kind and gentle man. His family dearly loved him and will miss him terribly.. until we meet again in Heaven.
