Gerry was born on July 22, 1971 at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas.
Gerry leaves behind the ”love of his life”, Tamina Fowler of Bedford, Tx. and his daughter, Geri Alejandra (Alee) Pifer of North Richland Hills, Tx. He is also survived by and will always be loved by his mother and late step father Marilyn and Gene Kellough of San Tan Valley, AZ, his father and step mother George and Dr. Kathryn Pifer of Colleyville, Texas, his brother and sister-in-law Glenn and Shae Pifer (and children Aspen, Brekken and Treyden Pifer) of San Tan Valley, AZ , his half brother Greg Pifer (and son Atlas Pifer), step sister and spouse LeeAnne Kellough and Teri Franks (and son Christopher Kellough) of Arlington, Tx and step brother and spouse Michael Kellough and David Shackelford (and sons Andrew and Billy Kellough) of San Tan Valley AZ and Tulsa OK.
Gerry attended elementary and middle schools in Bedford and graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1989. He was a member of the gymnastics team at L.D. Bell. While growing up in Bedord he also enjoyed playing soccer and was active in Boy Scouts where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. His scouting adventures continued into Explorer Scouting.
Being a lifelong mechanic he was happiest dropping a hemi into a Jeep and off roading, especially in Colorado and Moab, UT. His skills as a mechanic were put to use at local car dealerships and his own Lunatic Garage. Gerry will always be remembered for his huge heart by family, life-long friends, business associates and all who crossed his path in life.
Gerry's life will be celebrated at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Tx on Saturday, October 31st from 11:30 to 1:00pm.
