Georgia Faye Kemp, age 84, of Hurst, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2016. She was born in Hamilton, Texas on January 12, 1932 to Nallie and Leona Hayes. She was the second of three children (brother Charles and sister Shirley). She graduated from Pottsville High School in 1950 and attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She retired from Bell Helicopter in 1997. After retiring, she fulfilled her dream of making a journey to the holy land. She spent her retirement as she spent her life – helping and serving others. Georgia was a life-long warrior for Jesus Christ. She was very active in her church and touched the lives of all she met. The world was a better place with her in it. She loved to sew, read, cook and spend time with her family. Walnuts and peanut brittle were her weaknesses.
She is survived by 3 children: Beverly Couch, Robert Kemp (Cindy) and Cathy Kemp; 4 grandchildren: Jenny (Joe) Corcoran, Laura Senn (Jose), Lydia Gillum (Justin) and Emily Kemp; and 5 great-grandchildren: Jayden Gillum, Mackenna Gillum, Laney Gillum, Aaden Senn and Nico Corcoran.
