George W Truitt, age 89, of Southlake, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He will always be remembered as a sweet, loving, caring, Christian, friend, Father, Grandaddy, Great Grandaddy. George was born January 14, 1932 to Isa W. Truitt and Ethel Oneta Evans.
George served in the United States Army and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He also retired from Bell Helicopter in 1996 where he had worked as an Industrial Engineer and at the end of his career, he was part of the V-22 Osprey Program.
George Truitt is survived by his daughters and their spouses Julie Teague(John) and Laura Luthi(Hans). Eleven grandchildren including Nathan(Kristin), Michelle(Christian), Carly, Bobby(Lisa), Michael(Natalie), Jacob(Amanda), Cody(Alyssa), Trevor, Turner, Brandon, and Ashley. Twenty Great Grandchildren, and One Great Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 1/2 years, Mary and his son Austin.
The visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Bluebonnet
