

He will always be remembered as a loving brother, uncle, cousin, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved him. He was born on October 11th, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Lucy Elizabeth and George Stephen Schumann. George, or Steve to his family, grew up in the Midway Park area of Euless, and graduated from Trinity High School Class of 1980. He was an Owner-Operator with Frozen Food Express for 40 years and achieved a 4 Million Mile Safety Award during his career. He loved boats, racing, watching the Cowboys lose and Hallmark movies. Steve accepted the Lord as his Savior at William C Martin Methodist Church in Bedford. “Stephen was full of power and grace” (Acts 7:55.) A gentle giant standing 6’2” who loved deeply, worked and played hard in his 59 years of life.
George Stephen is survived by his brother, David Brian Schumann of Euless, Texas; his sister, Deborah Elizabeth Seal of Granbury, Texas; his niece, Emily Rene Schumann of Euless, Texas; his niece, Ariana Claire Schumann of Euless, Texas; and, his nephew, Nicholas Stephen Schumann of Euless, Texas. Finally, Brytani Schumann of Bedford, Texas as a special person in his life. George is preceded in death by his parents, Lucy and George Schumann, and his nephew John David Schumann.
The visitation will be held from 3 to 5 o’clock p.m. on Sunday, November 8th at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 9th at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
