It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the loss of our beloved mother, **Genevieve S. Couch**, of Fort Worth, Texas. She passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, at the age of 88 and is now in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
Genevieve was born on January 10, 1936, in Hunt, Texas, to **Maude** and **Herman H. Smith** of Cumby, Texas. As the middle child in a family of six, she shared her childhood with four brothers who remained dear to her heart.
After graduating from **Cumby High School** in 1953, Genevieve began her career at Convair (now Lockheed). It was there she met the love of her life, **David Fredrick Couch (Fred)**. The two were married and blessed with four children.
The Couch family lived in Bowie and the Mid-Cities area before relocating to Miami, Florida. In Miami, Genevieve embraced her adventurous spirit, working for the airlines and traveling to new and exciting destinations. She also cherished her time on the beach, finding peace and joy in the sun and surf.
Genevieve was a woman of many talents. She was an exceptional cook, a devoted gardener, a passionate animal lover, and an avid sports enthusiast. Above all, she was a faithful wife and a loving mother and grandmother who treasured the moments spent with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, **Fred Couch**, her infant son, her parents, and her brothers: **Herman, Gerald, James,** and **Larry Smith**.
She is survived by her children: **Monte Couch (wife Mary Brownlee)**, **Lori Croft**, and **Kyle Couch (wife Jeanna)**. Her cherished grandchildren include **Daniel Ward**, **Jordan Couch**, **Camron Couch (wife Olivia)**, **Kaleigh Couch**, **Eliza Couch Pruitt**, and **Dr. Chance Pruitt**, along with her adored great-grandchildren: **Brody, Bradley,** and **Blakely Couch**.
**Visitation** will be held on **Sunday, December 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM** at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas. A **celebration of her life** will take place on **Monday, December 9, at 11:00 AM**, also at Bluebonnet Hills.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the **Fort Worth Botanic Garden** or **Animal Hope Adoption Center**, causes close to Genevieve's heart.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
