Nancy Elaine Massengale Thomas was born August 28, 1951 in Kermit, Texas to Jimmie Faye Box (Bryson, Tx) and Cecil Arnold (Pete) Massengale (Jacksboro, Tx) and passed away on March 13, 2020 in Grapevine, Texas.
Elaine was married to Barry J. Thomas on November 16, 1984. Elaine was a 1969 graduate of L. D. Bell High School in Hurst. She retired from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (HHS) in 2003 after a 30 year civil servant career. She was a dedicated mother and wife. A creative spirit, she was also an artist, a doll maker, a doll collector and a quilter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Cecilia Kay Massengale and Penny Louise Massengale.
She is survived by her husband Barry, her daughter Jamie Haussecker, her son Corey Thomas, grandchildren Alexis Thomas, Jordan Thomas, Parker Haussecker, Ella Haussecker and sisters Christy Skirchak and Kelley Ehresmann.
