Anyways,

My dad loved me more than anyone. He loved my friends, especially Ava, Dominic, Emily and Julia. He loved everything I did. He loved the way I acted, he accepted my thoughts, and more importantly he let me come to him when I needed a person the most. I don't remember what it is was like to have a Mom and Dad to go to, but one thing I know is that my dad would never not listen to me. He was my Home. He was, and is, the only person that I love the way I loved him. As a parent, as a best friend, and as a mentor. Everything I do with my life is for him. Daddy, I wish you could hold me tonight as I feel for those lost days in the campsites and in my confusion in these college events. I wish you could tell me how to fix the weird sound on my car, and I wish we could watch South Park. I wish we could share a glass of lemonchello, and I wish you could see the outcome of this pandemic. I wish you could tell me your take on the politics, and I wish we could've cried for Russ together.

More than anything, I wish you watched me graduate. That was all because of you. 

My dad was a human, he made mistakes. But one mistake he never made was the way he raised me. I am a product of my dad, the good and the bad. He loved his family more than anything, ever. I only hope the world would do what he did. Daddy, I love you more than the stars in the sky. I can't wait to see you again one day.

He loved when I would play guitar or piano. His favorite song to play was "Somewhere In Time'', which I believed he played at his fathers funeral. 

He loved his brothers and their wives and kids. He loved his parents, and missed all of them dearly. It was one of the only things that could make him cry.

Todd, Scott, Joe, Matt, and the other of my dad's friends, he loved you more than they will ever know. 

My first tattoo was for my dad. It's of the constellation Orion, which in it holds a nebula called "Orion's Nebula", or, "M43". We photographed it through his telescope on a mountain in Fort Davis.

My dad loved my mom. More than anyone has ever been loved. He loved her so much that he protected her from the scary parts of being a grown up. My mom has the strength of my dad in her, and the strength of herself, that I'm not sure she would have found without his death. She is the strongest person I know, and I am beyond lucky that she is my mother. If she's reading this, I love you so much, and I'm more than proud of you.

But beyond everything else, my dad loved me. He loved me so much he pushed me to do my best, even when I didn't feel good enough, I wish I had him here pushing me now. Everything he did was for me. I miss him more than I could ever put into words, I am writing this now because I can't call him. I feel him, I know he's here, but I would give anything to fall into his arms and ask for some guidance, as I said, he is the smartest person I ever knew.

I defiantly have some of his smarts, his intuition, that's all him. I hope that stays with me for the rest of my life.

He worked a lot of important jobs, but the most important and notable thing he did with his life was the contributions he made to the Yo-He-Wah nation and Bear Creek Federation (...look it up). He is the reasons for hundreds of fond memories between fathers and daughters. He made irreplaceable friends.

For those of you that stumble upon this after this has been posted, 

Thank you for taking the time to look up my father. No words will ever be enough to describe the love I have for him. 

My dad was a man of high intelligence, I carry a lot of his qualites and I wish math was one of them.

My dad was a hard worker in telecomminactions. His work stories were nothing short of boring, but as I sit here 9 months after speaking to him, I would do anything to hear another one,.

He was a volunteer for Destination Imagination, a program where kids got to incorporate math and science into a "show". He loved that stuff, even after I retired from it he remained a judge. I still sleep in his shirts from competition.

He loved the night sky, his favorite place on this earth was Fort Davis, Texas (which is now my favorite place). There was a hotel there called Hotel Limpia, that was his second home. We partially loved room 18 & 31. Just a few miles away from the McDonald Observatory, the place where he would have retired, he had a stone on the visitor center walkway. For my high school graduation he bought me one, I always wanted one. Fort Davis, Marfa, and Alpine, is truly where I believe my fathers spirit is.

He loved classic rock. Particularly Queen, Kansas, Chicago. Bohemian Rhapsody was our song.  
 
He loved radio, Russ Martin of 100.3 the Eagle has recently passed and there's no doubt in my mind they are sharing a beer up in heaven. He also loved Art Bell of coast to coast and Clyde Lewis of Ground Zero. He's having a beer with Art too.

I only inherited two things from my dad, a telescope and his collection of books. The books range from astronomy textbooks to Revelation analyzations, I guess you could say he loved the unknown.

He loved cooking for us, especially on Sundays. His favorite shows were Hogan Hero's, King of The Hill, South Park, and all the others that would have him roaring with laughter at 11 pm on a school night.

My sincere condolences to Misty, Paige, your entire family and of course Dan's many friends. It's been such an honor and privilege to know Dan since 1995. He was one of my best friends I've had in life. Dan & Misty has always been so gracious. Paige is such a special young lady... I was privileged Dan & Misty shared Paige's first ultrasound photos with me the day they got them. She is such a gift to us all. I wish I were there to hug you both and to say "I love you both so much". Dan will never be forgotten, as he will always live in our memories. I'm here if you need anything. GOD Bless you both.

Thank you for being great neighbors on Willowood!!!  Even tho some young boys liked to do fireworks just a little too close!!!  But Dan was a champ and not too hard on them!!  Praying comfort from the Holy Spirit that only he can give!!  

Yay tho I walk through the darkest valleys I will fear no evil, for You are with me Your Rod and Your Staff Protect and Comfort Me and I will Dwell in The House of The Lord Forever!!!

Misty & Paige,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both as well as all the rest of Dan's family.  Dan was such a cool guy. He always made Todd laugh and always was there for everyone he met.  This earth lost a very great human.  Dan always was bragging about you two to Todd & know he will always look after you both. BET on it!

We are here for both of you and please don't hesitate to reach out.

My sincere condolences to your entire family.  I had known Dan since 2001, he was my manager at ATC and we had remained friends since.  He was such a wonderful man, he talked about his daughter often and was so proud of her.  He always had a smile on his face and I will treasure our friendship always.

My sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of Dan. He was a wonderful man and he will be missed! I have worked with Dan for over 25 years at both PageMart and T-Mobile. The memories of him are fond and will forever be etched in our hearts! He always talked about his daughter "his baby girl". He was so proud of her and her accomplishments. Everyone who knew him knew there was nothing he would not do for his family! You all will be in our thoughts and prayers in the difficult days ahead. May God bless you and keep you!
