Clyde was born on December 4, 1935 to Clyde and Mary Reed in Fort Worth, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 -1960; he was stationed in Germany and served on the shooting drill team. Clyde enjoyed hunting, camping, bluegrass festivals, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. His passion was racing and restoring vehicles. Clyde enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a volunteer fire fighter for 15 years for the city of Watauga, he retired from Superior Heat Treating after 35 years of service.
Those preceding Clyde in passing, his beloved wife of 48 years Joyce Reed, parents, siblings, Claudia Sharp, Arlie Reed, and Edward Reed, and grandson Joshua Riley.
Those left to cherish Clyde’s memory: children; Clyde O. Reed Jr., wife Jana, Judy Lynn Gonzalez, and husband Pedro. Grandchildren; Justin Reed, Casey Reed, Tony Simons, Justin Simons, Ashley Thompson, Connor Riley and Heather Riley, one great-grandchild Liam Thompson, brothers; Charles Reed, wife Judy, Robert Reed, and wife Kim, along with a host of extended family and friends.
