Clara Ruth was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Deport. She married Curtis Lee McCaffity in 1951 with whom she created and operated a waste disposal enterprise in the Metroplex, retiring in 1986. She was a highly talented artist and a prize-winning ceramist.
Her grandchildren were the light of her life and the focus of her love and devotion. She will be greatly missed as a mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and Grandma, the role she loved best.
Survivors: Son, Robert Douglas McCaffity (Linda); daughters, Connie Ruth Tubb (Allen) and Sue Ellen Stewart (Jim); siblings, Mary Alice Leake, Patsy Wickersham, Vicky Fagin and Don Wickersham; grandchildren, Curtis Robert McCaffity, Jason Lee McCaffity, Christina Cain, Emily Fuquay and Andrew Tubb; great- grandchildren, Kayla and Kyler McCaffity, Curtis Ryan and Bryson McCaffity, Alyssa and Riley Cain, and Corrine Ruth Tubb.
