For a man who walked ahead of everyone else while out birding, well, it's no wonder you got there before us. Rest in Peace Earl. It was a pleasure knowing you, and birding with you. I will think of you along the cut through road, remembering the sun shining down as you made your way ahead of us. Rest in Peace. My condolences to Colby and family. 

I worked, played, laughed and looked up to Earl for the better part of 15 years at Pepsi. There were so many good times.  His stories were the best. Wrestling with a monkey at a local carnival was my favorite. His humor was infectious.  His professionalism was unmatched and his demeanor, even his walk was unmistakable. We remained friends for 45 years and the best thing about Earl was he never changed. He was the same funny, insightful and intelligent man in his seventies as he was when he was in his thirties.  I loved him like a brother and I will miss him deeply.  

Earl was an intelligent and kind person.   I worked at PepsiCo for many years, in the Beverage Lab.  I saw Earl every day.
We often spoke about what we were growing in our vegetable gardens.   After retirement, Earl would meet with a small group of Pepsi Alumni for lunch.   We enjoyed this time with him and will certainly miss him at our future meetings.  Sending thoughts and prayers to the family.  


Colby, I know how close you were to your dad.  He was truly a remarkable man. Please accept my deepest condolences. I pray that God will bless you and your family with the strength to cope with the loss. Hoping you can find peace in all the fond memories.   You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Earl was kind and joyful person to be around.  I worked at Pepsi plant with him for the 36 years.  I was blessed to know Earl and got a chance to see what a great man he was.  He will be missed dearly.  My deepest sympathies to you and your family.    My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Although I never met Colby's father, I know his remarkable presence will continue to be felt through Colby and the rest of the family.  To Colby's father, I have never met as beautiful a man as Colby. You must be very proud to have raised such amazing children.

Earl was a good man, he was always helping his co-workers: fixing the batches that were messed up. He could almost always fix them.  Earl had what it took, a brilliant and knowledgeable man. He was Pepsi’s lifesaver in my opinion. The lord called him home, he will rest without pain now.  I say to his family: those we love, don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and always dear. 

Colby, My deepest and heartfelt condolences to you and your family!  I feel I know him through you.  May the happy memories you have of your dad sustain you and the family through the hard days ahead.  His candle will burn brightly.  He has gained his wings. He will forever live in your hearts.
