Carl Andrew Konosky Jr., a beloved husband, father, and retired federal agent, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 68. Born on October 28, 1955, in Waynesburg, PA, Carl's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and service.
Carl spent his formative years in Green County and later pursued higher education at the University of Maryland, where he obtained his bachelor's degree. It was during his time in Maryland that Carl met the love of his life, Mary LaPorte. The two embarked on a life together that would span over 40 years, full of love, laughter, and shared adventures.
After completing his education, Carl and Mary moved to Texas, where they built a home and raised a family. Carl's professional career was one of distinction and honor, serving as a United States Postal Inspector for over 21 years. From February 11, 1989, to July 31, 2010, Carl diligently worked to protect the public and ensure the integrity of the postal system.
Carl is survived by his devoted wife, Mary LaPorte Konosky, 68, of Bedford, TX, and their three sons: Andrew Joseph Konosky, 37, of Austin, TX; Carl Austin Konosky, 33, and wife, Susan Konosky, of Trenton, TX; and John Daniel Konosky, 36, of Bedford, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Marcella Donohue. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Konosky Sr. and Mary "Bubba" Konosky, as well as his brother, Mathew Konosky, and his sister, Mary Nickolson.
Carl's passions extended beyond his professional life. He found great joy in spending time with his family, fishing, cooling off in the pool after completing yard work, watching golf, and participating in fantasy football with his friends and former coworkers. His warmth, generosity, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A loving husband, a dedicated father, and a loyal friend, Carl Andrew Konosky Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and cherished memories. He will forever be remembered and missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private service will be held for family and close friends at a time and location to be determined and to celebrate Carl's life and honor his memory.
