Betty was born to the late Marjorie and Stanley Poffinbarger in West Middletown, Ohio on November 18, 1926. Betty will be remembered as a strong woman of faith in the Lord, who loved her family and friends. She served the Lord as a loving pastor's wife and then most recently she served as a faithful member at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth.
Betty had a caring heart that was fortified by her strength. She loved being a registered nurse and was known for providing excellent care. Also, her home was always open to welcome family and friends and it often served as a refuge for those in need. Betty had a dedicated, strong-willed spirit that will be greatly missed by her family and countless friends.
As her family mourns the loss of Betty, they are comforted by Christ's assurance that she is now in the presence of God, completely restored, and surrounded by a loving company of family and friends. Betty is survived by her son Robert E. Beatty III (spouse Shelly); her daughter Vicki Lynn Ritz (spouse Mark); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her two beloved husbands (Rev. Robert E. Beatty Jr. and Rev. Nonnie Hancock), and her wonderful daughter Patty Lynn Beatty Jones.
Family and friends are invited to Betty's life celebration service at First Baptist Church of Fort Worth on August 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Sunday, August 2, 2020, from 3:00-5:00 pm.
