This picture was taken Pre-Covid, March 2020.  Azzie and I drove to  Dallas to pick up Corina to go to Aunt Abby’s funeral. But before we left, we went to see Tio Benny at the rehabilitation center.  Azzie took him many snacks and sat to talk to him while I cut his hair. 
Afterwards, I took several pictures bcz I was moved by the loving concern Azzie had for her daddy, teaching him how to breath deep bcz it’s good for him.  He would just listen intently to his daughter.  
Didn’t know those pictures were going to be their last time together….we lost our dearest Azzie unexpectedly a month later.

She sent me this text a week after our return from Tia Abby’s funeral in Albuquerque …in part she wrote:

“Our dad is in locked down at the time being for 2 weeks some nursing homes 4 weeks but so far 2 weeks.  No one can see Dad. So my last thank you is that I saw my dad with you. 🙏🏻 love you and thinking of you in a special way!!”

My heart is broken but at the same time its comforted in knowing our next visit together will be a permanent one!!

At The Memorial in 2019, Grapevine Tx

I remember when I got my first paycheck working at Palais Royal when I was 15.  All excited, I took it to show my Tio who was visiting us and he tells me to bring him the Bible. He shows me the scripture to give your firsts fruits to Jehovah.  With blinking eyes, my immediate question was…”All of it Tio???” 
I can’t exactly remember what I did with the money at that time but it musta made a hole in my conscious bcz right after that, every new job I got, the 1st check always went to Jehovah, and I was always blessed!! 
My dear Tio Benny taught me to appreciate our loving and giving Creator Jehovah God,  something I will cherish forever!!
