Miss Alyssa Ruth Moore

She fought a good fight but decided that the arms of Christ are a better place to be – and we do not blame her.

Aly lived full speed ahead in her pursuit of her family, her friends and her relationship with God. When she passed from this life into her eternal hope, she was surrounded by those who knew and loved her.

Alyssa Ruth Moore was born June 12, 2000 in Plano, Texas. At the age of 4, she moved with her family to the nation of Turkey where she spent the next 14 years of her life.

She was fluent in the language of Turkish and often helped translate church services, she loved to play the piano and worship, she loved to pray for people, she enjoyed hanging out with her friends and she absolutely loved to laugh. She could change the atmosphere the moment she walked into the room. After graduating High School she moved to Redding, CA from Turkey to be a part of Bethel’s School of Supernatural Ministry. She completed the first 2 years and was currently enrolled in her year 3 internship with Robby Dawkins Ministry. She loved serving with Robby and felt that God was building a foundation of learning for the future of her own ministry.

Aly is survived by her father and mother, Mark & Michelle Moore; 2 brothers and a sister, Clarke, Carsten and Annie; both sets of grandparents, Jim & Bobbie Moore and Leonard and Marilyn Shaffer; her Aunt Page and Uncle Brian Newton and her Uncle Jerry and Aunt Carrie Shaffer and many cousins. All of whom love her greatly.

Right now is obviously a difficult time for the Moore & Shaffer families. Her absence leaves a massive hole in the fabric of the family as a whole. Yet, in the midst of it all, His grace has been abundantly evident...His presence tangible. There is no easy road for this journey but as the scripture says, "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." There is no other path for us to travel.

In lieu of flowers we are opening a scholarship fund in Aly’s name to the school she was attending.
