Ronald “Shane” Landry, 52, of College Station went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday morning July 8, 2014. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Thursday July 10, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 11, 2014 at the funeral home with Reverend Troy Allen of First Baptist Church of College Station officiating.
Shane was born on March 23, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Don and Pat Ehlert Landry. He grew up in Wichita Falls and graduated from Rider High School in 1980. He later graduated from Texas A&M University in 1988 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. After graduating, he worked in the Agriculture Department at A&M for eleven years.
Although Shane was injured in a football accident in 1979, he continued to be an avid sports fan and true Aggie all of his life.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Herman and Halon Landry, and Bernie and Jean Ehlert.
He is survived by his parents Don and Pat Landry of College Station; his sister Jodi Matt and her husband John of Sugarland; his nephew, Wesley Landry and his wife Stacy; his treasured great-nephews Blaine and Bryce Landry, and soon to come, Briggs Shane Landry. He is also survived by his many other family members and friends who greatly enriched his life.
The family has requested that in honor of Shane, Memorial Contributions be made to a charity of choice.
